However, the smaller models such as the Focus 14 Blue only has, as its name suggests, 14 braille cells but costs a little over $1,000. The Orbit Reader 20 is one of the most affordable models on the market, priced at $599 as of today. It may only offer basic functionality on the device itself, but its capability to connect to other devices allows the user to interact with the world through braille.
As technology evolves, resources for the blind are growing to keep up with trends. Braille users have more options available than ever before. Technology has not rendered braille obsolete.
