Outlook Nebraska, Inc. (ONI), a nonprofit organization providing employment and other opportunities for people who are blind and visually impaired, has promoted Mark Plutschak from Human Resource Manager to Director of Human Resources.
Plutschak began his ONI career in 2005. He became the Human Resource Facilitator in 2007 and the Human Resource Manager in 2009. He has an Associate’s degree in Pre-Social Work at Iowa Western Community College and a dual Bachelor’s degree in Human Services and Psychology from Buena Vista University.
“Mark has not allowed vision loss to define his capabilities, but uses it as motivation to progress his personal and career goals,” ONI CEO Eric Stueckrath stated in a letter distributed to ONI associates. “He has gone to great lengths to gain experiences that allow him to grow each and every day. He embodies what ONI is all about and lives the mission.”
“I will continue, to the best of my abilities, to support the growth of ONI and the personal and professional development of its associates,” Plutschak said. “The well-being of our associates will always be a top priority to me. I love waking up every morning knowing that what I do makes a difference in people’s lives.”
Plutschak is a current member of the Leadership Omaha Class 36. He is always looking for another learning opportunity and enjoys sharing the success stories of ONI associates with the public.
